100% success rate?
Torc Ecology have extensive experience in obtaining bat mitigation licences i.e. Natural England European Protected Species Licences (EPSL) and low impact Bat Mitigation Class Licence (BMCL) registration. We work alongside developers, planners, landscape architects and other professionals in developing bespoke and practical mitigation strategies tailored to the individual needs of any project, large or small.
Our track record of 100% success rate in securing bat mitigation licence applications/registrations demonstrates our high level of understanding of the licence system.
In our experience, communication is key to a successful bat licence application/registration with every one of our projects receiving attention to detail from start to finish.
Our Protected Species Licencing page provides more detailed information regarding what is involved in obtaining a bat licence.
All our bat licence work is supervised/undertaken by a Natural England licenced bat ecologist or Registered Consultant (RC) who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
Bat Mitigation Class Licence
Torc Ecology ecologists are Registered Consultants on the Bat Mitigation Class Licence (BMCL). This licence is appropriate for specific circumstances where a development is only going to have a low impact upon common species of bats.
Although appropriate bat surveys are still needed, the BMCL is much faster to obtain and cheaper than a full EPSL. Our Registered Consultants will be able to advise whether your site meets the BMCL criteria and, if so, register your site under the licence.
Our expertise in these licences has resulted in lower costs and prevention of significant delays for our clients.
